Manhasset Secondary School is a six-year public high school and middle school located in Manhasset, Nassau County, New York on the North Shore of Long Island. Manhasset High School consistently ranks among the top 100 high schools in America. In addition, the school has been represented yearly national science competitions such as I-SWEEEP, ISEF, and WAC Foundation Lighting Science Fair.
As of the 2014-15 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,092 students and 83.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 13.2:1. There were 44 students (4.0% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 8 (0.7% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
Eight choirs involve over 300 students in singing: Symphonic Choir, Concert Choir I, Concert Choir II, Women's Chorus, Vocal Jazz Ensemble, Select Ensemble, Kinsmen, Varsity Kinsmen.[2] Kinsmen is the elite men's choir with 35 members.
