Mang or Mangshi (Chinese: 芒市), formerly named Luxi City (Chinese: 潞西市; pinyin: Lùxī Shì), is a county-level city of Dehong Prefecture, in the west of Yunnan province, People's Republic of China. It is the prefectural seat, and in 1996, Luxi was upgraded to a county-level city.
In 2008, 4751 people participated in a public opinion survey in favour of restoring the historical name (Mang City), with 96.96% supporting a name change to Mang City. In 2010, the name of the county-level city was formally changed, becoming the very first single-character (excluding the word for city, "市") city in mainland China.
Association football is the most popular sport in Mangshi. Table tennis and basketball are also popular. The 15,000-capacity Dehong Stadium is the largest sports venue by capacity in the city.
