Mahendra Patil (Marathi: महेंद्र पाटील) is an Indian screenwriter, actor. Till now mahendra has successfully written 6 marathi feature films. He also work as festival director for marathi film festival. He noted for his work in Marathi cinema.

Mahendra started his career as assistant director. Later he turned in writing, at begin of his career, he wrote several plays, later he turned into screenwriting. His first film as writer was 2012 release Marathi film Amhi Chamakte Tare, till date he has written 5 released and 1 unreleased Marathi feature films.

He is also engaged in organising Marathi Chitrapat Mahotsav, called Ambarnath Marathi Film Festival since 2015.
