Mahakavi Kalidas (English: The great poet Kalidas) is a 1966 Indian Tamil language film produced and directed by R. R. Chandran, starring Sivaji Ganesan in the lead role. It is a remake of 1955 Kannada movie Mahakavi Kalidasa which had also been remade in 1960 in Telugu as Mahakavi Kalidasu.
Music was composed by K. V. Mahadevan while the lyrics were penned by Kannadasan and Ku. Ma. Balasubramaniam. Singer is K. B. Sundarambal and Playback singers are T. M. Soundararajan and P. Susheela. The "Sakunthalai" music drama was not included in the film but was released on gramophone record.
