Magnolia is a town in Rock County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 222 at the 2010 census.
Magnolia took its name from Magnolia Township.
A post office has been open in Magnolia since 1886. Magnolia was platted in 1891 and incorporated in 1894.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.78 square miles (2.02 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 222 people, 77 households, and 56 families residing in the city. The population density was 284.6 inhabitants per square mile (109.9/km2). There were 84 housing units at an average density of 107.7 per square mile (41.6/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 81.5% White, 1.4% African American, 4.5% Native American, 8.6% Asian, 1.8% from other races, and 2.3% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.3% of the population.
There were 77 households of which 29.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.1% were married couples living together, 11.7% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.9% had a male householder with no wife present, and 27.3% were non-families. 26.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.49 and the average family size was 2.93.
