Lugnez is a municipality in the district of Porrentruy in the canton of Jura in Switzerland.

Lugnez is first mentioned around 501-600 as Lugduniaco. In 1225 it was mentioned as Lunigie.

Lugnez has an area of 5.1 km2 (1.97 sq mi). Of this area, 3.03 km2 (1.17 sq mi) or 59.4% is used for agricultural purposes, while 1.76 km2 (0.68 sq mi) or 34.5% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 0.31 km2 (0.12 sq mi) or 6.1% is settled (buildings or roads), 0.01 km2 (2.5 acres) or 0.2% is either rivers or lakes.

Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 2.4% and transportation infrastructure made up 2.9%. Out of the forested land, all of the forested land area is covered with heavy forests. Of the agricultural land, 43.1% is used for growing crops and 15.9% is pastures. All the water in the municipality is flowing water.

The municipality is located in the Porrentruy district, in the eastern portion of the Ajoie. The village sits at the intersection of several roads that all lead into France.

The blazon of the municipal coat of arms is Argent, a Saltire engrailed Gules.

Lugnez has a population (as of December 2016) of 182. As of 2008, 5.2% of the population are resident foreign nationals. Over the last 10 years (2000–2010) the population has changed at a rate of -5.9%. Migration accounted for 2.7%, while births and deaths accounted for -5.5%.
