Lucas Fernández (?.?) was an Argentine teacher, Director General of Schools of Buenos Aires during the Government of Bernardino Rivadavia. He was also served as Director of the Escuela Normal of Entre Ríos Province, during the government of Justo José de Urquiza.
He was a pioneer of public education in Argentina, serving in the Escuela de Barracas, La Piedad (San Nicolás) and Escuela de Lancaster, founded by James Thompson.
In 1850, Lucas Fernández was destined to serve in Entre Ríos Province (Argentina), being later designated Inspector General of Schools of that province in 1858.
