Love Bebop (stylized as LOVE BEBOP) is the twelfth studio album by Japanese singer Misia. It was released on 6 January 2016, through Ariola Japan. Following the release of her eleventh studio album New Morning (2014) and the end of the Hoshizora no Live VII: 15th Celebration tour, Misia immediately began loosely working on her next material. Misia scheduled studio sessions for a new album with Shiro Sagisu, a producer whom she had not collaborated with since Soul Quest (2011). The writing and recording process concluded in October 2015 with sessions with producer Sakoshin, whom she had last worked together on "Catch the Rainbow" (2008). Misia collaborated again with producers DJ Gomi, Takayuki Hattori, Hiroshi Matsui and Tohru Shigemi along with new collaborations with songwriters Her0ism, Ki-Yo, Andreas Öberg, Rica and Shirose.
The title Love Bebop was inspired by the evolving LGBT movement in Japan, which led Misia to draw a parallel between the growing societal recognition for all forms of love and the various messages of love depicted on the album.
In support of the album, Misia will be embarking on the nationwide tour titled The Tour of Misia Love Bebop 2016-2017. No dates have been officially announced, but the tour is slated to start in 2016 and run through 2017.
Love Bebop entered at number 5 on the Oricon Weekly Albums chart and at number 7 on the Billboard Hot Albums chart. The digital release of the album debuted at the top of the Mora Weekly Albums chart and at number 6 on the Recochoku Weekly Albums chart.
