Louis Fürnberg

Louis Fürnberg (May 24, 1909 in Jihlava, Austria-Hungary – June 23, 1957 in Weimar, German Democratic Republic) was a Czechoslovak-German writer, poet and journalist, composer and diplomat of Jewish descent. He wrote "The Party is always right", the song that served for years as the official anthem of the East German ruling Socialist Unity Party (SED).
