Long Island is a city in Phillips County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 134.

The first post office was established at Long Island in May 1872. Long Island was laid out in 1873.

Long Island is located at 39°56′50″N 99°32′5″W / 39.94722°N 99.53472°W / 39.94722; -99.53472 (39.947283, -99.534673). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.44 square miles (1.14 km2), all land.

As of the census of 2010, there were 134 people, 60 households, and 38 families residing in the city. The population density was 304.5 inhabitants per square mile (117.6/km2). There were 77 housing units at an average density of 175.0 per square mile (67.6/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 96.3% White and 3.7% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.7% of the population.

There were 60 households of which 20.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.0% were married couples living together, 8.3% had a male householder with no wife present, and 36.7% were non-families. 35.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 15% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.23 and the average family size was 2.89.
