"Long Hard Road Out of Hell" is a song written and performed by American rock band Marilyn Manson, released as a single from the soundtrack to the 1997 motion picture Spawn. It also appears on the band's compilation album Lest We Forget: The Best Of, and has been used in theatrical trailers for Bless the Child, From Hell, and Season of the Witch. It features backing vocals from former Sneaker Pimps vocalist Kelli Ali.
The music video, directed by Matthew Rolston, appeared as an Easter Egg on the Spawn Director's Cut DVD, and is also played in VHS versions before the film itself starts.
According to Ultimate Guitar, the track is an alternative rock and hard rock song which contains elements of electronic rock, with a moderately fast tempo of 134 beats per minute. Each verse and bridge is composed of repetitions of an ascending E–G–F–E sequence, while the chorus consists of repetitions of a sequence which is composed entirely of major fifth notes: E–G–F–E. Marilyn Manson's vocal range on the track spans from an F2 to a B4.
