Live from Spotify London is the twelfth EP by British rock band Coldplay. The album was recorded in the Spotify headquarters, London, in 14 November 2016. The album was surprise-released exclusively through the streaming service Spotify on 16 December 2016.
The band was named as the most streamed band by Spotify in 2016, The band had gained more than five billion streams on its platform, while their seventh studio album, A Head Full Of Dreams (2015), gained for over one billion streams. The five-song EP is to mark the achievement and served as a Christmas present to fans. The live recording session is announced via the band's Twitter account on 10 November 2016, a contest to win the session's tickets were started on the same day.
