List of rediscovered films

This is a list of rediscovered films that, once thought lost, have since been discovered, in whole or in part. See List of incomplete or partially lost films and List of rediscovered film footage for films which were not wholly lost.

Many films of the silent era have been lost.

It was thought to have been destroyed in a vault fire. A "substantially complete" print, with Dutch intertitles and missing a few scenes, was found in Amsterdam in 1992 and restored at George Eastman House. It inspired Walt Disney to make it the subject of his first feature-length animated film.
