List of Ranma ½ chapters

Ranma ½ (らんま1/2, Ranma Nibun-no-Ichi, pronounced Ranma One-Half) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. In Japan, the manga was serialized in Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen Sunday from 1987–1996. The story focuses on Ranma Saotome, a teenage martial artist who has been cursed to transform into a woman when splashed with cold water. Hot water reverses the curse's effects but he seeks a permanent cure for his condition. In addition to his curse, he must deal with the competing emotions and affections of a number of potential fiancées—a result of his greedy and impulsive father's schemes.

Shogakukan handled the publishing of the manga in tankōbon format, collecting it into 38 volumes. The volumes were published shortly after serialization, with the first volume in April 1988 and the final in June 1996, just three months after the final chapter was serialized in Shōnen Sunday 1996, Volume 12. In 2002, Shogakukan began re-releasing the Ranma ½ manga in shinsōban format, with new cover art. In 1993, Viz Media began translating the manga into English, opting to include more chapters per volume. Viz published the chapters in 36 volumes, the last being released in 2006. The volume summaries for this list reflect the Japanese volume contents.

Studio Deen created an animated adaptation of the manga in 1989, which ran for 18 episodes before being cancelled. A second series, titled Ranma ½ Nettōhen (らんま½ 熱闘編), ran from 1989 to 1992 for 143 episodes. These adaptations feature many stories from the manga, with some changes, as well as original plotlines. The anime also spawned three feature films and a series of original video animations (OVA), produced from 1993 to 1996. In addition to these, a new Ranma ½ OVA was released at a Takahashi art exhibition in 2008 and a live-action television special aired in 2011.
