List of Presidents of Israel

This is a list of Chairmen of the Provisional State Council and Presidents of Israel since the adoption of the Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948.

As Chairman of the Provisional State Council, Chaim Weizmann served as de facto head of state until his election as President.

A total of nine people have served as President of Israel, four of whom have served two consecutive terms. Additionally, one person, Yitzhak Ben-Zvi, has served three consecutive terms.
