Leslee Udwin (b. 1957) is a British filmmaker, actress, and producer.

She was born in Savyon, Israel, to a Jewish family.

Udwin started her career as an actor and initially acted in the British soap opera Eldorado. She started her production company, Assassin Films, in 1989. Her well-known productions include the films East is East (1999), Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution (2007), and West is West (2010), and the documentary India's Daughter (2015).

She lives in London, UK.

Avanindra Pandey, the only eye witness of the rape incident had this to say about the documentary made by Leslee Udwin : "The facts are hidden and the content is fake. Only Jyoti and I know what happened on that night and the documentary is far from truth. " Avanindra Pandey himself had fought with the men who assaulted and raped the girl, but was beaten up and overpowered during the ordeal.
