Laurence Vincent Edney (born May 18, 1968) is an English actor and model known for his appearance in Kill Kill Faster Faster (2008), Hotel Babylon (2006) and Behind the Bar (2007).
Edney was born in London, United Kingdom. He began his career in modelling and acting in 1987 with a fashion editorial where Edney appeared as a cowboy. In 1990 Edney was introduced to Brad Parsons who was at the time heading the men's division at Premier Models and became one of the most sought after male models in London and on the international circuit. Edney worked with Bruce Webber, Mario Testino, Corrine Day and Ellen von Unwerth. He appeared in editorials for GQ, Arena, Elle and Vogue UK as well as appearing in over 100 television commercials and advertising campaigns for Versace, Armani and Hugo Boss. Edney’s modelling career has spanned for nearly 3 decades. After years of supporting roles in film and frequent television guest appearances, Edney attracted wider recognition in his supporting role in Gareth Maxwell Roberts' 2008 crime thriller Kill Kill Faster Faster.
Edney first gained recognition starring in the movie Kill Kill Faster (2008). He played Branan, friend of the main character in a performance described by Rolling Stone magazine as outstanding. Following the success of Kill Kill Faster Faster, Edney took a supporting role as Mike in Tony Basgallop's 2009 television drama series Hotel Babylon. The series received predominantly positive reviews. Edney also gave critically acclaimed performance in David Burke's 2009 drama Behind the Bar where he had the lead role.
