Lake Mills is a town in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 2,070 at the 2010 census. The city of Lake Mills is located partially within the town. The unincorporated communities of Kroghville and London are also located in the town.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 32.6 square miles (84.4 km2), of which 30.4 square miles (78.7 km2) is land and 2.2 square miles (5.7 km2), or 6.77%, is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,936 people, 720 households, and 558 families residing in the town. The population density was 62.5 people per square mile (24.1/km²). There were 812 housing units at an average density of 26.2 per square mile (10.1/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.26% White, 0.26% Black or African American, 0.05% Native American, 0.57% Asian, 1.08% from other races, and 0.77% from two or more races. 2.74% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 720 households out of which 35.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.6% were married couples living together, 4.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.4% were non-families. 17.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.66 and the average family size was 3.01.
