Lady Chatterley's Lover is a 1981 film directed by Just Jaeckin, and starring Sylvia Kristel and Nicholas Clay. It is an adaptation of the D. H. Lawrence novel of the same name.
After an injury leaves her husband impotent and crippled, Lady Chatterly is torn between love for her husband and her desires. With her husband's consent, she seeks out the means of fulfilling her physical needs.
The film was not as popular as the filmmakers expected and Cannon films ended up recording a loss. However the film later became more popular in the home video market in the mid 1980s.
The film is rated R16 in New Zealand.
