Kyrksæterøra is a village and the administrative center of the municipality of Hemne in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It was known as the "white town of the Hemnfjorden" at one time, because there were only white houses. The 2.26-square-kilometre (0.87 sq mi) village has a population (2013) of 2,502; and it is located at the end of the Hemnfjorden, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) southwest of Holla. The villages of Hellandsjøen and Heim lie to the north and Vinjeøra lies to the south. Hemne Church is located in the village.

At one time, there was a shoe factory, a shipyard, a lumber mill, and fish processing plant in the area. Kyrksæterøra was bombed during World War II, but no lives were lost and there was minimal damage. Nearby, the Nazis also had a large camp for Russian prisoners-of-war.

The last part of the name (øra) is the finite form of ør 'sandbank (at the mouth of a river)'. The first element is the name of the old farm Kyrksæter (Norse Kirkjusoðin). The first element of this name is the genitive of kirkja 'church' (referring to the fact that the first church was built there). The last part is the old name Soðin (*Soðvin) which is a compound of the rivername Søo and vin 'meadow, pasture'. The name of the river is derived from the verb sjóða 'seethe, boil' (referring to the froth of the waterfalls in the river).
