Kurseong subdivision is a subdivision of the Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal, India. It consists of the Kurseong municipality and one community development block: Kurseong. The subdivision has its headquarters at Kurseong.
Apart from Kurseong municipality that consists of 20 wards, the subdivision contains rural areas of 14 gram panchayats under one community development block: Kurseong.
Kurseong block consists of rural areas only with 14 gram panchayats, viz. Gayabari–I, Shivakhola, St. Marry's–III, Seetong–III, Gayabari–II, St. Marry's–I, Seetong–I, Sukna, Gayabari–III, St. Marry's–II, Seetong–II, Pandu, Chimney–Deorali and Mahanadi. This block has one police station at Kurseong. Headquarters of this block is in Kurseong.
As per order of the Delimitation Commission in respect of the delimitation of constituencies in West Bengal, the whole area under this subdivision, viz. Kurseong municipality and Kurseong block is part of the Kurseong assembly constituency of West Bengal. This constituency is an assembly segment of Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency.
As per the 2011 Census of India, Kurseong municipality had a total population of 42,446. There were 21,423 males and 21,023 females. As per the 2011 Census of India, Kurseong block had a total population of 94,347, of which 79,903 were rural and 14,444 were urban. There were 47,030 males and 47,317 females.
