Krishna Ella

Krishna M. Ella is an Indian entrepreneur, scientist, and founder of Bharat Biotech International Ltd, Genome Valley and Ella foundation.

Ella holds M.S. from the University of Hawaii and Ph.D (1987 to 1993), from College of Agricultural Sciences, Department of Plant Pathology at University of Wisconsin, Madison, U.S.A. Later, Ella held the position of assistant professor, at Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston. With expertise in yeast molecular genetics, he founded, Bharat Biotech in 1996.

Ella was born to a Telugu agricultural family in Tamil Nadu, India. He is married to Suchitra and has a son and a daughter.
