Kieron Quirke


Kieron Quirke is an English writer, journalist, musician and theatre critic residing in London.

Quirke was educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham and the Junior Royal Academy of Music where he won the Dame Ruth Railton Prize in 1997.

Quirke attended Merton College, Oxford. Notable for his activities in theatre and journalism, he was Librarian of the Oxford Union and left with a Double First in Classics.

FT Young Critic of the Year in 2003, Quirke writes on the theatre and opera for the Evening Standard, having also written for The Times,Time Out, and Metro.

Quirke writes for television with surrealist playwright Robin French. Their output has included episodes of children's drama I Dream, which starred members of the band S Club 8, work for the comedy sketch show, Man Stroke Woman and sitcom pilot Bash, both aired on BBC Three. Bash was directed by and produced by Adam Bromley.

Quirke and French worked on Roommates, a new sitcom which premiered on ABC Family on 23 March 2009. Their eight-part drama Trinity appeared on British television from September 2009. Each has been nominated amongst the Hot Shot Writers of 2008 by Broadcast magazine.
