Location

Khatib MRT Station (NS14) is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit station on the North South Line in Yishun, Singapore. The station is located at the junction of Yishun Ring Road and Yishun Avenue 2. The most distinctive feature of this station is a pair of tomato replicas located within the paid area of the Concourse Level beneath the escalators. The section of track between this station and Yio Chu Kang is the longest between any two SMRT stations in Singapore. The travel time from Khatib to Yio Chu Kang is about 5 minutes. Its station colour is green and blue.

Formerly named Nee Soon South, it was renamed to Khatib on January 1987.

After several successful tests at Jurong East, Yishun and Pasir Ris, installation of the half-height screen doors started and operations commenced on 30 September 2011.

The 13th station installed with Rite Hite Revolution High Volume, Low Speed (HVLS) fans and began operations since 28 August 2012.
