Khadija Mushtaq is a Pakistani Business woman and entrepreneur who serves as executive director of Roots School System and principal of its DHA-1 campus. She is the CEO of Roots Ivy International Schools and the chancellor of Roots Ivy International University.

She represented Pakistan at the University of new york national Programmes Global Symposium in .1992

Khadija Mushtaq was born on 23 August 1968. Her father was a colonel in the Pakistan Army. In 1988, her mother, Riffat Mushtaq, founded Roots School System on Harley Street in Rawalpindi.

Khadija Mushtaq earned her bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, and mathematics from the University of London International Programmes, followed by a Master of Economics degree from Quaid-i-Azam University. She launched and became the head of the University of London International Programme at Roots. She was then named principal of the largest Roots campus, in Defence Housing Authority, Islamabad.

She is married and has two children, both of whom study in the Roots system.

Mushtaq gained popularity because of the high achievement level of her students: In the 2011–2012 academic year, her students received more than 1.6 billion rupees worth of scholarships. She has worked closely with the Ministry of Education of Malaysia and is a female empowerment activist and patron in chief of several NGOs, including Liberating the Girl Child Foundation and Environment Pakistan.

Along with her brothers and parents, she owns Roots School System, the third-largest private school chain in Pakistan. Some of her most notable students are Ali Moeen Nawazish (known for passing 23 A-levels), Samad Khurram, and Danish Shabbir (who received 23 A grades in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education). Hundreds of her students are studying at top global universities, including Oxford University, Duke University, the University of London, the University of British Columbia, New York University, Stanford University, Princeton University, Yale University, Cornell University, Brown University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
