Keith James Rothfus /ˈrɒθfəs/ (born April 25, 1962) is the U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district. He succeeded Democrat Mark Critz, whom he defeated in the 2012 election. Prior to being elected to Congress, he worked as a lawyer.
Keith Rothfus was born in 1962 in Endicott, New York. He graduated from West Seneca West Senior High School in 1980. He attended the State University of New York College at Buffalo for his bachelor's degree in Information Systems. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1994.
Throughout most of his adult life he has been a corporate attorney, working for private companies big and small. He was employed by the United States Department of Homeland Security from 2006–2007. He has also been a member of the Edgeworth, Pennsylvania zoning board. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Veterans Leadership Program (VLP) of Western Pennsylvania.
