Kazakhstan in the Turkvision Song Contest 2017

Kazakhstan is one of the twenty-four participating countries and regions competing in the firstTurkvision Song Contest. Kazakhstan won the contest in 2014 when they were represented by Zhanar Dugalova who sang "Izin korem".

Kazakhstan made their debut in the Turkvision Song Contest at the 2013 festival, in Eskişehir, Turkey. Kazakhstan held an open selection for the 2013 contest, a total of 16 artists were selected to take part in the national final on 24 November 2013. The winner was decided by SMS voting.

In Turkey the band made it through to the final, finishing in 9th place. The manager of Rin'Go was unhappy with the way that the 2013 contest was judged and the technical standards of the contest. The band was considering appealing the results.

On 20 July 2014 it was officially announced that Kazakhstan would make their second appearance at the Turkvision Song Contest 2014 to be held in Kazan, Tatarstan in November 2014. It was announced again in October 2014 that Kazakhstan who hold a national selection to pick their participant, the final was announced as taking place on 26 October., a total of 47 singers performed in front of a panel of judges on 15 October with 16 selected to go through to the final

In Kazan, Kazakhstan opened the semi final, finishing in third place with 198 points. In the final they were drawn to perform third, they won the contest with 225 points, 24 points ahead of second place Tatarstan.
