Karol Mets (born 16 May 1993) is an Estonian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back and a defensive midfielder for Norwegian Eliteserien club Viking and the Estonia national football team.
Mets started playing football in his hometown Viljandi with Tulevik's youth team.
In 2011, Mets joined Flora. He made his debut for Flora on 1 March 2011, in Estonian Supercup win over Levadia, winning the match 5–3 in a penalty shoot-out. Mets made his Meistriliiga debut on 2 April 2011, in a 1–0 away win over Kuressaare and soon established himself as first choice centre-back alongside Karl Palatu. He won the 2011 Meistriliiga season with the club.
On 5 December 2014, Mets was transferred to Norwegian club Viking for an undisclosed fee, thought to be around €170,000. He made his debut in the Eliteserien on 6 April 2015, in a 1–0 away defeat against Mjøndalen.
Mets started his international youth career in 2010 with the under-19 national side, and represented Estonia in the 2012 UEFA European Under-19 Championship. He played in every match, but failed to help the team advance past the group stage as Estonia lost all three matches against Portugal, Greece and Spain. He made his international debut for the senior national team on 19 November 2013, in a 3–0 friendly away win against Liechtenstein.
