Kaptan Singh Solanki (born 1 July 1939 in Garhpara, Bhind, Madhya Pradesh) is the Governor of Haryana and an Indian politician of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Since August 2009 he is the member of the Parliament of India representing Madhya Pradesh State in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house until May 2014.
He studied at Vikram University, Ujjain, P.G.B.T. College, Ujjain and Maharani Luxmibai College, Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He served as teacher in Banmor in Morena district during 1958-1965 period and as Professor at P.G.V. College Gwalior from 1966-2000. He has been appointed the Governor of Haryana to replace Jagannath Pahadia whose five years terms ends on 26 July 2014.
He has been married to Shrimati Rani Solanki since 1959, and has two daughters and three sons with her.
