Kalinga alphabet

The Kalinga script is one of many descendants of the ancient Brahmi script used in what is now modern Odisha. The Kalinga alphabet was primarily used to write Dravidian languages of the ancient state of Kalinga. It is visually very similar to Brahmi and to the Kadamba alphabet.

By the 12th century, this script has been abandoned in favor of another Brahmi script that eventually became the Odia alphabet.
