KTVN is a CBS-affiliated television station licensed to Reno, Nevada, United States. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on VHF channel 13 (or virtual channel 2 via ) from a transmitter facility shared with NBC affiliate KRNV-DT (channel 4) and ABC affiliate KOLO-TV (channel 8) on Slide Mountain between SR 431 and I-580/US 395/US 395 ALT in unincorporated Washoe County. The station can also be seen on Charter Spectrum channel 2 and in high definition on digital channel 782. Owned by Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., KTVN maintains studios on Energy Way in Reno.
KTVN signed on the air on June 4, 1967, originally as an ABC affiliate, but took over the CBS affiliation in 1972, after disputes between the CBS network and its affiliate at the time, KOLO-TV. It also formerly operated a satellite station, KEKO-TV (channel 10) in Elko [1] (that frequency is currently used by NBC affiliate KENV).
