At 10 p.m. on April 15, 2017 the station dropped Regional Mexican and began stunting for a new format utilizing a bizarre mix of music.
On May 1, 2017 at 12 Noon (CDT), KQFX flipped to Rhythmic Hot AC as "Wild 104.3," utilizing a mix of current Rhythmic hits and recurrents from the 1990s and 2000s.
