KMJX (105.1 FM) is a radio station in Little Rock, Arkansas. It has been on the air for over 27 years, making it one of the oldest stations to broadcast in Little Rock. The station's studios are located in West Little Rock, and the transmitter tower is located on Shinall Mountain, near the Chenal Valley neighborhood of Little Rock. KMJX broadcasts a classic country format. However, unlike most classic country stations, KMJX plays country music that is as new as 2 or 3 years old.
On February 22, 2008, KMJX began stunting with all-Beatles in preparation of a frequency-swap with 106.7 FM "The Wolf" (currently classic country-formatted KHKN, which moved to 105.1 FM), and a format change to adult hits (as 106.7 Tom FM) on March 3, 2008. Clear Channel said the move was intended to increase the coverage of KHKN "The Wolf." Magic 105 was once amongst the Little Rock market's top 5 stations, but had fallen to 16th of late. The new TOM-FM station will serve as a showcase for DJ Tom Wood's talents and music tastes.
KMJX broadcasts in HD. KMJX is licensed by the FCC to broadcast a HD digital signal.
