Jyothika Saravanan (née Jyothika Sadanah on 18 October 1977) is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil films. She also acted in a few Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu and Hindi films. She gained prominence for her performances in Kushi, Snegithiye, Kaaka Kaaka, Perazhagan, Chandramukhi, June R, Pachaikili Muthucharam, Mozhi, and 36 Vayadhinile, winning three Filmfare Awards, three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, three Dinakaran Award, Cinema Express Awards, International Tamil Film Awards and other awards and nominations. She is also a recipient of the Kalaimamani award. Jyothika married co-actor Suriya in September 2006 after being engaged in a relationship for several years. She made a comeback in the film 36 Vayadhinile (2015), which received good reviews from the critics, especially for her performance. She became the first actress to win both Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Tamil & the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress.
