Jorge Sarsfield (c.1700-1782) was an Irish nobleman, He was one of the first Irish settlers residing in Argentina in the mid-18th century.
Sarsfield was born in Ireland had arrived in Cordoba in mid-1750. He had a small ranch dedicated to agriculture. He was married twice, first María Josefa Palacios (born in Córdoba), and after with Marta Mercedes de Albarracín.
Jorge Sarsfield was the maternal grandfather of Dalmacio Vélez Sársfield, an prestigious lawyer and politician of Argentina. The Sarfields family were descendants of Patrick Sarsfield, 1st Earl of Lucan.
