Jonathan Lewis Goldstein (born December 4, 1964) is an American actor best known for his role as Walter Nichols in the Nickelodeon sitcom Drake & Josh.

Goldstein was born and raised in Port Washington, Long Island and honed his acting skills at New York University and Northwestern University before landing a role on the soap opera All My Children and later heading for Hollywood.

Goldstein waited tables for ten years to help pay the bills between acting gigs. In a bizarre twist of fate, one of Goldstein’s regular customers turned out to be Drake & Josh producer Dan Schneider, who did not recognize his favorite waiter on the audition tape. "After he picked me his wife Lisa looked at the tape and said, ‘Hey, isn’t that our waiter Jonathan?’", Goldstein explained.

Some of his other television credits include The Riches, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NCIS, Heroes, Grey's Anatomy, Once and Again and The Electric Company. He also directed three episodes of the Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly starring his former Drake & Josh co-star Miranda Cosgrove.

Goldstein was also the lead singer in several New York bands including: The Shakers, The Cosmic Testes and The Garage Ensemble.
