John Bradley-West (born 1988), credited as John Bradley, is an English actor, best known for his role as Samwell Tarly in the HBO fantasy TV series Game of Thrones.
Bradley grew up in the Wythenshawe district of Manchester, where he attended St Paul's Roman Catholic High School. He later graduated from Loreto College, Hulme and the Manchester Metropolitan School of Theatre.
Bradley's first appearance on television was in the drama Borgia where he played the minor role of Cardinal Giovanni de' Medici.
Bradley also plays the major character Samwell Tarly in the HBO fantasy TV series Game of Thrones. His character is a friend of Kit Harington's Jon Snow and provides occasional comic relief. One reviewer called him "a wonderful comedic and cowardly yin to Jon's dour yang".
