Mixed martial arts record from Sherdog |
Johil de Oliveira (born August 7, 1969) is a Brazilian professional mixed martial arts veteran fighter who fought mainly in Brazilian organizations as World Vale Tudo Championship (WVC), IVC, Jungle Fight, UVF, BVF, Bitetti Combat and also fought in Pride Fighting Championships, Shooto and Cage Rage. He is one of the major supporters of the Luta Livre in Brazil, alongside Marco Ruas, Alexandre Ferreira and Hugo Duarte.
Johil started his career in the mid-90's in Brazil, achieving a 10 fight streak without losing and then came to Japan where he had an accidental burning caused by a pyrotechnics explosion in the backstage of his scheduled bout against Matt Serra at Pride 9 and other health issues that impaired his health for a long time while competing in Pride FC. After losing several times he returned to Brazil competing in several organizations. He is still active with more than 30 fights and a 20 year career in mixed martial arts.
