João Micael Villanueva Constancia (born 22 December 1996) is a Filipino singer and dancer. He is known as a member of the boyband group BoybandPH. In September 2016, Constancia auditioned in ABS-CBN's Philippine reality boyband search, Pinoy Boyband Superstar and later emerged as one of the winners along with other four boyband aspirants Niel Murillo, Russell Reyes, Tristan Ramirez and Ford Valencia, to form BoybandPH.
A month after they were declared as winners and members of the group, they released their first major debut self-titled album under Star Music.
Born and raised in Macau, China to Filipino parents, João is the eldest among three siblings.
In an interview published on the December issue of StarStudio Magazine, Joao said that even if he lived in Macau all his life, he was of course, Pinoy at heart.Despite missing Macau, Joao said he was determined to pursue his dream of being in showbiz. "Since I was young, I've liked the idea of being on camera to show my talents to the younger generation, to give them the motivation to succeed in their dreams and become who they want to be," he said.
Dubbed "Party Prince ng Macau," 19-year-old Joao Constancia was able to charm not only the female fans but also the judges, who can't help but notice his good looks. Joao was able to move on to the next round of the competition with his performance of "Grow Old with You," earning praises for his unique charm and appeal, despite his average vocal talent. For his grand finals performance, Joao performed "Twerk it Like Miley," much to the delight of the fans and the judges.
After weeks of competition, the members of the newest Filipino boy band were revealed with Constancia together with the other four winners Russell Reyes, Ford Valencia, Niel Murillo, and Tristan Ramirez who received the highest combined scores culled from the judges' ratings and viewers' votes. All five winners received P1 million each and a contract with Star Magic.
