Jerard "Jerry" Aloysius Jacks is a fictional character on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital. He was portrayed by Julian Stone from April 10, 1998 to December 14, 1999. In January 2007, the role was recast with Sebastian Roché, who was initially introduced as a terrorist named Mr. Craig, with his true identity remaining hidden until a few months later. Roche has held the role sporadically since, with his latest arc occurring from August to September 2012. He returned for one episode on December 18, 2012 and made a second return for multiple episodes starting September 30, 2013. After last appearing on December 2, 2013, Roché made several guest appearances throughout October 2014. He once again reprised the role of Jerry on December 10, 2015.
Jerry is originally from Australia, but he and his family moved to Alaska. He is described as being a playboy, never bothering with love, just in it for fun and games.
Jerry came to town in April 1998, to meet his brother Jax's fiancée, Brenda Barrett. He soon became involved with Bobbie Spencer, and for the first time in his life he had fallen in love. Before moving to Port Charles, he had never really stayed in one place for very long, but he eventually considered Port Charles to be home.
Jerry was arrested along with his brother and father, when the FBI discovered that their company had been started with drug money. They lost everything, but the Jacks brothers managed to bounce back quite well. Despite Jerry's bitterness that Jax had always been the golden child, while he had to scrape by and also protect Jax, Jax saved him from a prison sentence. Jax and Jerry eventually became very close.
At the 1999 Nurse's Ball, a tape of Jerry and Bobbie making love was accidentally spliced into Emily Quartermaine's documentary (Emily had left her camera in a room at the hospital; Jerry and Bobbie had no idea the camera was there), embarrassing them in front of the entire town. Both handled the reaction very well, not too surprising considering their outcast status throughout many parts of their lives.
