James Bracey (born 17 September 1984), in Gosford, New South Wales is an Australian sports journalist and presenter for the Nine Network.
Bracey is currently host of Nine's rugby league telecasts. He previously worked at Sky News Australia for 13 years until resigning in December 2016.
Bracey commenced as a producer at Sky News Australia at age 19 in April 2004 whilst he was studying a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) at the University of Newcastle. He also attended the Max Rowley Media Academy. After graduating he joined the Sky News team in a full-time capacity as reporter and anchor.
Bracey has covered the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games and the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games, 2012 London Olympics and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games for Foxtel. He was awarded Swimming Australia's 2008 Media Award for his coverage.
In January 2013, Bracey was appointed presenter of a new sports show on Sky News Australia titled SportsNight with James Bracey. Bracey was also a regular panelist on The Last Word.
In 2014, Bracey hosted the ASTRA Industry Excellence Awards.
In December 2016, Bracey announced his resignation from Sky News after 13 years, ending his role on 15 December 2016, with his program SportsNight with James Bracey not continuing with a new host following his departure.
