Jófríður Ákadóttir, known professionally as JFDR, is an Icelandic singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in 1994. She is known for her solo project JFDR as well as her work with Samaris, Pascal Pinon and Gangly and works closely with producer and multi-instrumentalist . Her father is Icelandic composer and musician Áki Ásgeirsson.

In 2009, when only 14, Ákadóttir formed band Pascal Pinon with her twin sister Ásthildur, Halla Kristjánsdóttir and Kristín Ylfa Hölmgrimsdóttir. The name was a reference to the early 20th century circus performer Pasqual Pinon. In 2009, when they were 14 years of age, they released their first album, Pascal Pinon. It was entirely self-produced. Re-released by the Morr Music label in 2010, it was described by Allmusic as “a truly lovely record”. Pascal Pinon released their 3rd album Sundur with Morr Music in 2016.

Ákadóttir formed Samaris alongside Áslaug Rún Magnúsdóttir and Þórður Kári Steinþórsson in 2011. Samaris entered and won the 2011 Icelandic Músíktilraunir competition and followed this success by self-released their Hljóma Þú (2011) EP, which then won the band an Icelandic Kraumur award. A further self-released EP, Stofnar falla, followed in 2012 before the group signed with One Little Indian Records. Samaris's self-titled debut album was released in July 2013, which combined the tracks from their two previous EPs along with four remixes, to generally favourable reviews. The album combined their music with lyrics taken from 19th-century Icelandic poems. Samaris released their 3rd album Black Lights with One Little Indian Records in 2016.

In 2016, Ákadóttir launched conceptual project Gangly with Sindri Már Sigfússon also known as Sin Fang and Úlfur Alexander Einarsson of Oyama with the track Fuck With Someone Else. Gangly went on to sign to UK label AMF Records and release a series of video led singles. She also collaborated with Low Roar on the single Bones and Brainfeeder producer Lapalux on 2 singles from his new album Ruinism.
