The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (IPBC; Hebrew: תאגיד השידור הישראלי‎, translit. Ta'agid HaShidur HaYisra'eli‎), branded as KAN (Hebrew: כאן‎, lit. 'Here'‎), is an Israeli governmental body founded in 2015. It was founded with the intent to replace the Israel Broadcasting Authority (IBA) after the Israeli Public Broadcasting law ordered its closure. Its debut date was postponed several times. The law stipulated that it begin operation on October 1, 2016, but Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after discussion with Histadrut chairman, Avi Nissenkorn, postponed the date until the beginning of 2018. However, after political pressure, its opening was only delayed six months, opening on May 15, 2017. The IPBC CEO is Eldad Koblenz and its chairman is Gil Omer.

Before the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, it was announced that the new IBC would broadcast the show. However, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced that the new broadcaster is ineligible and does not meet the EBU's criteria. More significantly, all EBU members must have a news department, something that the IBC doesn't currently have.

As a result, Israel's future in the Eurovision Song Contest is currently uncertain.

KAN currently operates two TV channels:

KAN 11, the main channel, featuring general programming.

KAN 33, a channel dedicated to Arabic-speaking viewers. The same channel was being aired by the IBA as Channel 33.

KAN operates eight radio stations, all transferred from the former IBA. It also has seven web radios dedicated to different musical genres.
