"Inside Out" is a song by American alternative rock band Eve 6. It was released in May 1998 as the first single from their debut album Eve 6. The song was a big hit, managing to top the Modern Rock Tracks chart three times (for a combined total of four weeks at number one and nine weeks at number 2 while falling behind "Iris" from the Goo Goo Dolls and "One Week" from the Barenaked Ladies). It also reached #21 on the Hot 100 Airplay on the issue dated November 28, 1998.
The song was a downloadable track for the music/rhythm game series Rock Band. It was notable for not being able to be completed 100% on vocals due to a talk note not being recognized. The song was upgraded and made available to download on March 1, 2011 for use in the Rock Band 3 music gaming platform in both Basic rhythm, and PRO mode which takes advantage of the use of a real guitar / bass guitar, along with standard MIDI-compatible electronic drum kits / keyboards in addition to three-part harmony vocals.
