Ilya Petrovich Vorobiev (Russian: Илья Петрович Воробьёв; born 1975) is a Russian and German hockey player, Central striker, and now coach hockey.
Born March 16, 1975 in Riga; the eldest son of a hockey player, now hockey coach Petr Vorobiev. In 18 years with his father were in Germany. Then played in Russia. Has finished career of the player in Frankfurt Lions (2007—2010).
Involved in junior and youth teams of Russia. Silver medalist of the championship of Germany 2002 in the Adler Mannheim; participated twice in the all-star game of the German hockey League (1999, 2001). Champion of Russia 2007 in the Metallurg Magnitogorsk.
After retiring for some time carried out administrative work in the Russian team. In the season 2011/2012 he made his debut as coach. 3 may 2012 appointed the senior coach of the hockey club Metallurg Magnitogorsk. 17 Oct 2015 appointed head coach.
19 April 2016, the first for coach season, led the team to victory in the Gagarin Cup (previously won the tournament as an assistant).
