Ilion Animation Studios is an animation studio based in Madrid, Spain. The studio was established by the founders of Pyro Studios, a video game development studio, to create computer-animated movies for theatrical release. Ilion produced the CGI-animated film, Planet 51.

Ilion Animation Studios is a partner with U-Tad, which is a European University that is specialized in digital arts and technology. Ilion comes up with all of its own content. On occasion, Ilion works with some of its third parties. Ilion Animation Studios is independently and privately owned.
Planet 51 was released in 2009. In order to create this animated feature-length film, there was over 350 people involved. The staff that came from over 20 different countries included artists, program developers, engineers and other skilled professionals.
