Ida Grove is a city in Ida County, Iowa, United States. The population was 2,142 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Ida County.
Founded in 1871, the town now known as "Old Ida Grove" was located on the north side of the river. However, when the railroad was built through the neighborhood in 1877 on the south side, Ida Grove was relocated there.
Ida Grove was incorporated on May 31, 1878, and was named for the county, which was named for Mount Ida in Greece.
The Ida Grove post office contains an oil on linen mural, Preparation for the First County Fair in Ida Grove–1872, painted by Andrene Kauffman in 1940. Federally commissioned murals were produced from 1934 to 1943 in the United States through the Section of Fine Arts, of the Treasury Department.

There were 1,080 housing units at an average density of 514.3 per square mile (198.6/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 98.2% White, 0.3% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.1% Asian, 0.5% from other races, and 0.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.8% of the population.
