I Wanna Have Some Fun is the third album by Samantha Fox, released in November 1988 by Jive Records. The album is a funky mixture of dance pop, R&B and bubblegum.
The album was produced by various producers covering the Euro-pop sound. Two tracks, "Next to Me" and the title track, reunited her with Full Force, while in another reunion with (SAW) she recorded a cover of Dusty Springfield's "I Only Want to Be With You", retitled "I Only Wanna Be with You", and the SAW original "You Started Something".
The first single released from the album in the UK was "Love House", released November 1988, it reached #32. In the United States the first single release "I Wanna Have Some Fun" fared even better. Produced by Full-Force, it reached #8 in the US Top Ten, though when released as the third single in the UK, in June 1989, only managed #63. The second single released in the UK in January 1989, "I Only Wanna Be with You", was her biggest UK hit in over a year, peaking in the Top Twenty at #16. This was also the second single in the US where it peaked inside the Billboard top 40 at #31. "Love House", on its release as the third single in the US, failed to reach the top 100. No further singles were released from the album, although "Your House Or My House" was reported by the fan club to be in the running for a Canadian single release.
