ICAT Design and Media College is a college offering education related to digital design and media. It offers full-time UG, PG Diploma and Masters Programs of 3 years, 1 year and 2 years respectively, in collaboration with an Indian and UK University. The college has three campuses around South India: Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
ICAT is expanded as Image College of Arts, Animation & Technology. It is managed by Image Infotainment Ltd, an ISO 9001 - 2008 certified digital content development company. Image Infotainment Ltd is a member of NASSCOM committee representing Animation and Gaming Industry.
ICAT was established by Mr. K.Kumar, who holds around 2 decades of experience in digital media. He heads all the business units of IMAGE. He has been nominated as a member of the Animation and Gaming Industry Board, Tamil Nadu for providing animation and gaming recommendations to the government.
ICAT offers Post Graduate Diploma programs in Design & Media. Also it offers undergraduate degree programs in association with Bharathiyar University, which is recognized by the government of Tamil Nadu, India. It also offers internationally recognized degree, validated by the Birmingham City University, UK but not by the Indian government.
ICAT was established in 2004, in Chennai. In 2008, the college established two new campuses at Bangalore and Hyderabad, India. In 2009, ICAT entered into a technical collaboration with Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu to offer B.Sc. Multimedia and B.Sc. Digital Media programs. Then in 2012, ICAT partnered with Birmingham City University, UK to offer UG courses in Digital Media. Later in 2013, the college collaborated with Bharathiar University to offer B.Sc. and M.Sc. programs that are recognized by the Government of India and comes under the purview of UGC.
The college was rated as No.1 Animation & Gaming College in India, by The Week - AC Nielsen in 2009.
In 2011, Deccan Chronicle rated the college as No.1 Animation Institute in South India.

ICAT offers the UG programs to students who have completed 10+2 years of schooling or 3 years diploma in a recognized university after class 10.
The PG Diploma courses and the master's degree are offered to graduates of any stream from a recognized university.
ICAT Design and Media College is a part of IMAGE groups that includes other educational ventures: Image Creative Education, a group of multimedia training institutes spread across India offering Certification, Diploma and Higher Diploma courses in different streams of design and media; and Imageminds, which offers creative education for school children.
