Hytop is a town in Jackson County, Alabama, United States. It incorporated on May 17, 1991. As of the 2010 census, the population of the town was 354, up from 315 in 2000.

As of the census of 2000, there were 315 people, 124 households, and 108 families residing in the town. The population density was 139.5 people per square mile (53.8/km²). There were 139 housing units at an average density of 61.5 per square mile (23.7/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.19% White, 1.27% Native American, and 2.54% from two or more races. 0.32% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 124 households out of which 37.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 76.6% were married couples living together, 7.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 12.1% were non-families. 10.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
